Snow in Spring 2014 in Mallorca

One week after Spring officially started in Soller the temperatures dropped to a minimum  of 4 degrees and there is snow up on the mountains. As always the heaviest being on the peak of Puig Major, Majorca's highest mountain, which forms the backdrop of the stunning views from the valley.

This is the first snowfall of the year so far and only fell as light rain in the actual village. It is caused by a cold front over the island. Temperatures will remain a minimum of 4 degrees and more light rain may follow, falling as snow further up on the mountains. Temperatures are set to rise slightly this coming weekend.
